EMC Open Replicator for Symmetrix is a data migration and mobility application delivering non-disruptive, fast, simple, and open operation. Open Replicator uses the high performance Symmetrix array to move data to and from other EMC or third-party arrays using existing SAN/WAN infrastructure.

With Federated Live Migration, all migrations to a Symmetrix VMAX system are completely non-disruptive at the storage and host/application level. For organizations using virtual and thin technologies, Open Replicator’s zero space reclaim feature quickly and easily reclaims a volume’s allocated but unused capacity during a migration.
